Amber, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC is the Clinical Administrator in Reno, Nevada where she has resided for twenty years. Amber joined the healthcare industry in 1998 working as a dental assistant but ever since she was five years old, she always wanted to become a nurse. She began going to school at night and in 2014, she graduated with her Associate’s degree in nursing. Over the next several years, while working for Renown Health within the Reno area, she continued her education obtaining both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in nursing. Amber is a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner from the University of Phoenix and the majority of her work has been in surgical services and taking care of medical-surgical patients. Amber enjoys taking care of the patients in her community and has noticed the growing need for mental health services and care. Throughout her years of working at Renown and continuing her education, Amber has developed a compassion for helping others, especially outpatients. She believes that by creating a trusting relationship and a healing environment, each patient interaction will be individualized and her patients will be seen as a whole person and not just their past or present disease or disorder. Amber is devoted to making a difference in her community and recognizes that there is a need for better outpatient services for mental health.
