Welcome to NERVEmber
The condition known today as Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) was first identified during the Civil War and was later named Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD) in the 1940’s. Newly identified pathophysiology caused the medical community to change the name to CRPS in 1993. Twenty-four years after the name change there is still a lack of understanding about this condition, both in the medical field and the community at large.
Fortunately, with organizations like International Pain Foundation and other educational resources, patients are now receiving earlier identification and diagnosis of the condition. However, the treatment options continue to be varied, limited, and inconsistent.
We at Ketamine Wellness Centers pride ourselves on being one of the few treatment centers that provide a treatment plan to patients struggling with neuropathic pain conditions such as CRPS, Fibromyalgia, Arachnoiditis etc. Although ketamine many times may not completely resolve the symptoms, it can reduce the pain and swelling and allow the patient to engage in normal everyday activities. At Ketamine Wellness Centers, each individual’s plan of care varies based on patient response and we continue to amend and adjust our treatment to give the best possible outcome. This November, aka NERVEmber, I would like to recognize all those patients and families who have entrusted their care with us. Thank you for allowing us to help you in your journey to finding the relief you deserve. Let’s Paint the World Orange!
