Message from the CEO
Ketamine Wellness Centers Reno is officially open! Our first patient was successfully treated on Monday, March 7th, and we are excited to hear she did well and is getting great results. We have a number of other leases currently under review in other states, however, we have paused momentarily to assess possible acquisitions versus organic growth.
Although I am happy to see the light at the end of the Covid pandemic tunnel, there is still plenty of instability worldwide. Like everyone, we at KWC are affected by the challenges of inflation, supply chain issues, and labor shortages. The cost of medical supplies and equipment has more than tripled over the last two years if you can find the equipment you need. The shortage of healthcare workers has been a challenge for years; however, since 2020, the ability to find the right clinicians has become even more difficult.
Unlike traditional healthcare providers, finding the right ketamine providers is like finding a unicorn. They are a unique mix of skilled clinicians, empathetic listeners, and healing guides who can sit in a darkened room for hours on end ensuring our patients feel safe and cared for. The clinical job is not physically demanding; however, the emotional component can be significant and requires a skill that not everyone possesses. As a clinician and CEO, I recognize how important the relationship is between the clinical team and the patients they care for. I want to assure our patients that employee retention is critical to our operational plan and we strive to fill positions with that unicorn and not just hiring a license.
Thank you for trusting us with you or your loved one’s care and some of the beautiful reviews we have received. We share testimonials companywide and they prove to be nourishment for our unicorn souls.
Happy St. Patrick’s day.
