Bloomberg Business Highlights Ketamine’s Rise to Treat Suicide Ideation

Bloomberg Businessweek recently ran an article by Cynthia Koons and Robert Langreth titled, “Ketamine Could Be the Key to Reversing America’s Suicide Rate”, highlighting Ketamine as a treatment option for treating suicidality and depression.

This article is a great comprehensive analysis of Ketamine’s rise in the treatment of mental health conditions. While pharmaceutical corporations are rushing to develop intranasal and synthetic variations of Ketamine that would allow for patent protection, Ketamine Wellness Centers has been providing this life saving therapy for over eight years. All data points to intravenous (IV) infusions of Ketamine has the most effective clinical protocol in the treatment of debilitating mental health conditions.

At Ketamine Wellness Centers, we treat a number of suicidal and depression patients. We also treat a number of Veterans and provide a Hero’s Discount for those who are suffering from mental health. In 2013, the United States Department of Veterans Affairs released a study that covered suicides from 1999 to 2010, which showed that roughly 22 veterans were committing suicide per day, or one every 65 minutes.

If you or someone you know is struggling with an ongoing mental health condition such as depression or suicide, contact us at 855-KET-WELL (855-538-9355), as we have Patient Liaisons who are here to help.

Also, in case you missed it, read our blog, No More Suicides, written by our very own Clinical Psychologists Dr. Ellen Diamond.
